Postcards of the Period
This postcard shows the NYYC Station 10 Clubhouse at
what is now Morgan Park beach. The treeline behind the
Clubhouse appears to have been painted in. Station 10
was located here from 1904 to 1932.

A later postcard shows the Station 10 Clubhouse on the property at the Foot of McLoughlin Street, where the Glen Cove Yacht Club is currently located

Yacht Station 10 - the 1844 Clubhouse in it's glory.
Probable location is at the Foot of McLoughlin Street.

The 1844 Clubhouse is westward (seaward) of the
building that was constructed at the Foot of
McLoughlin Street site after Yacht Station 10 was
moved from what is now Morgan Park in 1932.
This later building became the home of the Glen
Cove Yacht Club when it was formed in 1959. The
building was mostly destroyed in a fire in 1981
(see below).

Saying goodbye to Glen Cove, the historic

to Mystic Seaport Museum in 1949.

The Glen Cove Y.C. Clubhouse was destroyed by fire in January 1981.

From 1949 until 2002, the original 1844 Clubhouse was a part of the Mystic Seaport Museum in Connecticut, on loan from the New York Yacht Club.
