Commodore's Winter Party, 1978 "Brownie" Kormoski, Commodore
			The Commodore's Winter Party was held in the old Clubhouse, which had plenty of room for dancing and a band. << Commodore Walter "Brownie" Kormoski awards a plaque to the first place winners of the Labor Day Regatta: Gisele Kapuscinski (daysailing division) and Larry Ward (cruising division). Larry Ward initiated sailboat racing at the Glen Cove Yacht Club around 1976. The plaque, which was supposed to hang in the Clubhouse, was never seen again after this night.

We made our own music - and it was great! Johnny Granberg on trumpet, Einar Michelsen on bass, and in the back, Charlie Russek and his accordian.
